Scientific Council

International Advisory Committee

Policies

Researchers at the Institute are drawn mainly from UCD faculty from a range of disciplines including economics, politics, sociology and social policy and are leading experts in their field. Researchers work with around 30 postgraduates registered for PhD, who may contribute to ISSC research projects as well completing their own theses. Major research contributions are also made by a network of research associates based in universities overseas. The Institute also hosts a visiting scholars programme and attracts several distinguished visitors each year.

Strong research support is provided by the Institute Manager and Executive Assistant who are responsible for all non-research activities including finance, project administration, events, publications and public affairs.
